Self Help Exercises

These exercises are designed for you to do at home.  We believe that there are things you can do which can make a difference to your feelings about your birth experience.  If you change those feelings, then naturally the experience of birth changes too.  Ultimately, we are individually responsible for our own healing.   Work on the exercises you like, or the ones which feel most suitable to you.  If you want any help then email Hari with your queries at: harivaudrey@gmail.com

Altering the Pictures - this exercise is for anyone who has disturbing images in their mind.   Something you see that flashes into your mind.

Coping with Anxiety - being in a heightened state of anxiety or stress lowers your immune system, can cause fatigue and feelings of powerlessness.  This can also be a precursor to an anxiety attack.  These simple breathing techniques can help you to regain a feeling of equilibrium.

Focus on the Future - often we are clear about what we don’t want, but not so clear about what we do want.  This coaching exercise helps you to clarify what exactly you do want and gives you a clear target to aim for.

Turning off the Voices - something someone said still haunting you?  Do you find their unkind or unfair words often running through your mind?  Here is a list of simple exercises you can use to turn that critical inner voice off,  whether it’s someone else’s or even your own.
