Who are we?

Lynn Boreham

lynn Following a three years of training I qualified as a registered teacher of the Alexander Technique (AT) and I now work with people from all walks of life.

To acquire new skills and also help me become more effective in my Alexander work I trained in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and this has helped, both to challenge mental limitations and in coaching people.

I wish I had known about AT and NLP before I had my three children.  Not only do they help with birth, they also help with bringing up the children.  As I changed so did my children and life became much easier.

I am particularly interested in assisting people to overcome problems and to move on.

I work with a great range of people from people suffering panic attacks to those wanting to regain their nerve from bad riding accidents, with sportsmen and women, musicians and people just wanting to live a happier life.

The question is the same ‘what is it that prevents us from being the person we want to be?’

Anna Higgs

anna

I am mum to seven year old Ella, and to baby Alycia, born in June 2010.

I work from home as a freelance marketing consultant, and I also write a blog on the joys and struggles of parenting: http://partmummypartme.blogspot.com/

Having been induced with my first birth, I was for a more satisfying, relaxed experience second time around. Thanks to Safe Birth I found I was actually looking forward to giving birth. Something I was completely terrified about a few months before.

I am passionate about helping other women like me to replace the fear of childbirth with a more positive outlook and to put behind them any painful past memories.

Hari Vaudrey

hari I live in Oxfordshire and work as a hypnotherapist and coach. I am mum to three young children.

I knew I’d had a really difficult time with my first birth, but it wasn’t until I became pregnant with my second child that I realised just how much the negative experience was still affecting me.  During that time I found little resources available to help me get over the fear and anxiety that was at times overwhelming.

Following that experience, I spent two years searching and researching a way forward for women who have had disappointing birth experiences.  I was looking for something practical and effective.

It is my hope that the online material and/or workshops can provide a genuine resource for women who are disappointed with their birth experience.  We can’t change what has happened to us, but we can change the way we  feel about it.

Sarada Ward

saradaI am a full-time mother to 3 boys aged 4, 5 and 8 years old and step-mother to an 11 year old girl and a 14 year old boy.

I am also an experienced massage therapist specialising in pregnancy massage.

Since the birth of my first child, I have felt passionate about pregnancy and birth and helping women have positive experiences through these important times.

I began training as a doula a few years ago and plan to continue this training in addition to training as a childbirth educator.

I believe creating a supportive network of mothers is vital in providing much needed help, education and encouragement to women having babies.
